Elena and Jason got married! After 10 happy years together, they finally said their “I dos” at the Canadian Museum of History, on a rainy day this past May.
For the sake of not rambling, I’ll list all of my favorite things about this wedding:
Elena and Jason didn’t let the weather put a damper on any of their plans. They proceeded with their first look as well as their outdoor ceremony.
Their first look was so freaking picture-perfect and breath-takingly gorgeous! They chose the perfect location to see each other for the first time that day.
Speaking of perfect locations, they held their ceremony under cherry blossoms. There were tons of them!
Their guests didn’t complain (too much, lol) when it started to pour on them after they got seated for the outdoor ceremony. I have to say, you all were awesome for waiting out the rain the way you did.
Just as everyone (except Elena it seems) lost dispair and thought the ceremony would have to be moved inside, the rain went away and the sun came out.
It was fun to see so many beautiful people that I know such as Brittany and Kevin (who recommended Elena and Jason to me). I photographed their wedding a year ago and now Brittany is pregnant which has weirdly been huge news for me and made my heart melt! It’s so crazy (good) to see people get married and then start families. It was all very exciting!
I had an “oh shit” moment! when Elena walked out to Beyonce’s Love On Top!! I melted and then died! But not before thinking “oh shit! I wish I thought of that” lol. That was the coolest! And this is why Elena and I are friends! (And yes, I just put an exclamation at the end of every sentence in this paragraph!), hehehe!!
Elena and Jason’s parents had the prettiest and most interesting speeches about their kids.
Elena’s dress was super flowly and kept romantically blowing in the wind. She also had these little pieces of hair that just kept blowing in the most perfect kind of way. Her whole look was all very soft and romantic. I mean the whole thing, the rain, the drama of where the ceremony would be held, the sun coming out just in time, the hair, the dress, the first look on a bridge, lol…girl you nailed it! Pablo and I loved it and I’m pretty sure your guest did too (check out the last picture, as proof:)).
Ok, now on to Elena and Jason… xx, Cass:)
